Hair examination and hair therapy

Hair loss is a problem that affects both men and women. The so-called man-made hazards, like living a stressful life, also contribute to the spreading of hair loss. Men's balding has always been considered ''natural'', since it is primarily caused by male hormones and genetics. In addition, it appears in their twenties. Thus, women's hair loss has gained less attention, because their abnormal hair loss generally develops later. Due to the modern equipment used during hair and scalp examination, which are parts of hair therapy, we can reveal the causes of hair loss and the state of the remaining hairs, and with the help of these we can offer a unique treatment to our patients.

Our patients who come to our hair implantation clinic with medical hair problems in each case undergo a primary thorough hair and scalp examination in order to find out the reasons behind their hair loss and the quality of their hair.

Hair examination starts with a thorough visual inspection, which is followed by examination with instruments, including examination with micro cameras.

We can also draw conclusions concerning the causes of hair loss from the discussions that take place during hair therapy consultations. In case of patchy hair loss or other atypical, non-androgenetic alopecy or balding, earlier medical records on internal examinations and treatments can help a lot in detecting the causes of hair loss.

There are several existing methods to treat hair loss, the cosmetic industry also offers several products to treat the problem, although in more serious cases these are mostly ineffective, or only have temporary effects. In spite of all this, our hair therapists offer hair transplatation only as a last resort.

In case of developed balding and massive hair loss only hair implantation can be a -fortunately, permanent- solution.

Before hair transplantation we observe the scalp's smallest details and the follicles as well with special, high resolution micro cameras, so during the hair examination we can determine how healthy Your scalp and hair are, and we can also assess the density of hairs on the donor and recipient areas.

Medical hair examination is also necessary in the case of typical, clearly recognisable hereditary balding, because knowing the causes is not enough for hair transplantation; being aware of the state of the remaining hairs is also crucial to be able to determine whether they are suitable for transplantation or not.
