Hair Transplant Experience: Balázs’s Success Story

In November 2022, Balázs decided to undergo a hair transplant procedure at the HIMG Clinic after years of being bothered by thinning hair and increasingly visible hair loss. When Did You Start Thinking About Hair Transplantation?

Not long before the procedure — around that summer — I started seriously thinking about getting a hair transplant. Two of my friends recommended it to me. They had undergone procedures at your clinic about a year earlier, and both of them already had visible results. So I arrived at the clinic with pretty high expectations.

How Did Your Hair Transplant Day Go?

My procedure lasted an entire day. From around 8 AM until noon, the hairs were extracted from the back and sides of my head. After that, there was a lunch break, and then from around 12:30–1 PM until about 6 PM the grafts were implanted into the front area.

When Did the Results Start Becoming Visible?

I think — I don’t remember the exact timing anymore — but maybe around six months after the procedure the new hairs started growing in. Not evenly and not everywhere at first, but I was patient because I could see the signs of the transplantation and I knew hair would eventually grow there too. If I had to say exactly when the first visible results appeared, I would say it took around six months.

How Did Your Life Change After the Hair Transplant?

Interestingly, the hair transplant really helped my mental well-being and self-confidence. What’s funny is that not everyone even noticed my hair loss before — my friends often told me they didn’t really see that I was balding — but I knew I was losing my hair. Whenever I saw a photo of myself where the top of my head was visible, I felt terrible. That feeling completely disappeared. And the friends who knew I had undergone the procedure all told me that you did an amazing job.
